Our All School Service to welcome in the new school year takes place this Sunday, September 24th at 10:30 AM in the church. All children are expected to be there to sing our hymn of the year, “I Am Trusting Thee Lord Jesus”. We look forward to welcoming you to Bethesda Lutheran Church.
Mid-quarter reports will be issued on Friday, September 29th to those students in Grades 1st-8th. Please go over these with your child and then returned the signed form. If you wish to meet with your child’s teacher(s), please check the appropriate line on the form.
MAP testing for those students in 1st-8th grade will take place at the end of September and the first week of October. These standardized tests will measure your child’s progress through the year, as well as establish a baseline for their work on i-Pads in the E-Spark program. Please refrain from making doctor and dentist appointments during those weeks, if at all possible.
Our first Beautification Project is tentatively scheduled for Saturday, September 30th at 8 AM until noon. Please join us as we tackle some much needed projects around the school. This is a great way to get a start on those volunteer hours!
Speaking of volunteers, we are looking for someone to do some Xeroxing in the office. In addition, we need volunteers to manage the hot lunches on Friday. See Mrs. Estevez if you are interested in helping out. Thanks in advance for your assistance!
Mark your calendars for the International Fest on Friday, October 20th at 6 PM for an evening of ethnic food, fellowship, and entertainment by the children!
