Children in the Primary grades learn about the important figures in Bible History. From Adam and Eve to the 12 Disciples, our younger students learn about the important people found in the Old and New Testament books of the Bible. The teaching of Jesus and His miracles are another important part of the religion curriculum. Students learn the important seasons of the church’s liturgical year, along with memorizing the Lord’s Prayer, the 10 Commandments and other important Bible verses.
Centered on the Concordia religion series, the 5th and 6th graders of our school study Bible History and explore God’s Word in the Old and New Testament. Memory work and liturgical understanding is part of their religion curriculum.
The 7th and 8th grade students’ use the Choices series to explore Bible-based ideas concerning contemporary issues being faced by young people today. Faith based discussions and service projects are an integral part of the upper grade curriculum. Another main component of the 7th and 8th grade religious study is student-led worship in chapel.
